Boil Order Issued For Parts Of Morton Grove

(CBS) -- A boil order has been issued for parts of Morton Grove as a precaution after a mechanical failure in the water system led to some residences to have low or no water pressure, the village said.

The boil order is in effect for Morton Grove homes and businesses west of the north branch of the Chicago River. Water should be brought to a rolling boil for at least five minutes before drinking. Water for showering and washing dishes does not need to be treated.

Morton Grove says the boil order is expected to be in effect until Wednesday, Dec. 9.
