Police Conducting Death Investigation After Body Washes Up At Osterman Beach

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man's body washed up on the shore Saturday morning at Kathy Osterman Beach in the Edgewater Beach neighborhood.

Police officers and firefighters responded to a call of a body found washed up on the beach near Sheridan and Ardmore around 8:45 a.m., according to police.

Police said the victim appeared to have drowned. The victim has not yet been identified, but police said he appeared to be a 30 to 45 years old.

Area North detectives were conducting a death investigation.
