Blackhawks Recall Michael Leighton As Corey Crawford Is Out Friday

(CBS) The Blackhawks recalled goalie Michael Leighton from AHL Rockford on Thursday as starting goalie Corey Crawford is day-to-day with an upper-body injury. Crawford won't travel with the team for Friday's game at Winnipeg.

Leighton has spent the entire 2015-'16 campaign at Rockford, where he's 28-8-8 with a 2.44 goals against average and .918 save percentage.

Scott Darling was in net for Chicago in a 3-2 loss to Philadelphia on Wednesday night, stopping 26 of 29 shots.

Leighton most recently played in the NHL in 2012-'13, with the Flyers.
