Best Chicago Fashion Blogs

Fashion is harder to keep up with than a Chicago parking meter, but these local fashion bloggers do it for you - like a personal valet pumping quarters into a style meter. Even better, they use lots of pictures lest we confuse lurex ruched dresses favored by any of the Real Housewives with style.

Dana Weiss

See a must-have blouse on the "Today Show" or "The Mindy Project"? Perhaps you adore those skin-tight dresses that evil Victoria Grayson from "Revenge" pours herself into and covet the stuff the Kardashians wear on their television shows. Log onto where creator Dana Weiss does the style sleuthing and tells you where you can get one for yourself. Through her connections with celeb stylists, PR types and loyal readers, Weiss can tell you what it is, where to get it (such as Cusp or Sofia) or where to get something pretty darn close for less money (try TopShop, Forever 21 or Nordstrom Rack). Weiss is currently crushing on celeb style icons like Olivia Palermo, Kerry Washington and Emma Stone.

Jena Gambaccini

When Gambaccini was growing up in Northbrook, the neighborhood girls coveted the blogger-to-be's extensive Barbie wardrobe. After her doll days, fashion as personal expression has been her focus and Gambaccini says she turned out Chicago's very first fashion blog. She loves leather, funky t-shirts and sweatshirts and quirky accessories (Charlotte Olympia does it best she says). If your style icons line up like Margherita Missoni ("effortless looks") and Julia Sarr-Jamois ("super funky and fresh"), check out

Nikia Jefferson

South side native Jefferson focuses on emerging designers and independent boutiques. "Anyone can write about mainstream designers and large retailers (which I also do from time to time), but it takes a lot more research and due diligence to discover those who may be under the radar," Jefferson explains. Her style icons are Tracee Ellis Ross (because of her effortless style and her incorporation of vintage and bold accessories into each look) and Miroslava Duma for always being impeccably dressed and possessing an ability to wear high-end designers from head to toe without looking overdone. If discounted designer items and unique pieces sound like your fashion focus, give a go.

Amy Creyer

Freelance photographer, copywriter and social media strategist, Amy Creyer can claim Burberry, J Brand Jeans, Timberland and Michael Kors on her street-style photography resume. And if you flipped through Teen Vogue, those were Creyer's pictures of the best looks at the 2013 Pitchfork Music Festival. Creyer can help readers pull it together for less since she represents TJ Maxx, the retailer offering designer and brand name fashion for up to 60 percent off department store prices.

Liz Schneider

Liz Schneider a personal stylist and fashion blogger who looks like the best friend you've always wanted - pretty, put together and always ready to help you look your best. Born and raised in Chicago, she is a self-admitted stripe addict, hoarder of shoes and admirer of the fashion moves of Miroslava Duma, Princess Catherine and Olivia Palermo. The blogger can help you wrestle with seasonal staples, feminine, but not too Zooey Deschanel party dresses or even style baseball caps into bonafide high fashion.
