Best Bars To Watch Premier League Soccer In Chicago

Whether you're an expat hoping to watch a game of your hometown team or are just getting into soccer — excuse us, football — then you might be wondering where you can watch a game. While you could sit at home, what's the fun in that? At these five Chicago-area bars, you and your friends can grab a bite to eat and maybe even a drink or two while watching a Premier League game. Remember to set your alarm the night before, as many games air in Chicago before noon.

If you live in Chicago's Lincoln Square, then consider stopping in at The Atlantic Bar the next time you want to want to see Newcastle United, Arsenal, West Ham United, Liverpool and other Premier League teams, and this is where fans of Tottenham Hotspur F.C. will catch games. In addition to Premier League matches, The Atlantic Bar is the place to be if you want to catch catch games in Major League Soccer, La Liga, National Women's Soccer League, and so many more, and it opens in advance of the matches that start in the early morning hours. Cleos Chicago has an extensive brunch menu with plenty of hearty choices, as well as Bloody Marys and mimosas. At Fado Irish Pub, fans can catch a game in the early hours while enjoying camaraderie with other fans (even if they are rooting for the other team). As noted on the pub's website, the doors open early on game days. Brunch and drink specials are also available, with the full Irish breakfast on the menu. Located in Chicago's North Center neighborhood, The Globe Pub is the home-away-from-home for many fans of Premier League teams. Fans of Newcastle, Southampton, Chelsea, Manchester and other teams can cheer or commiserate at the pub with other fans when the teams play. The pub posts a weekly schedule of games it will air on its website, and will open about 30 minutes before the start of an early morning game. While you cheer on your team, you can also tuck into The Globe Pub's sandwiches, wraps and salads, as well as a traditional full breakfast, shepherd's pie, fish and chips and other menu items. Suburbanites aren't left out in the cold when it comes to Premier League games.
