Bears Waive S Winston Venable
(CBS) The Bears waived second-year safety Winston Venable Thursday, according to multiple reports.
Venable primarily played special teams for the Bears as a rookie last season. He spent three weeks on the practice squad and was cut mid-way through the season before being brought back.
The safety out of a Boise State played with Bears first round pick Shea McClellin in college.
