Bears Sign 4 Undrafted Free Agents, Waive 4 Players

By Chris Emma--

(CBS) The Bears' roster has reached the league limit of 90 with the team making a series of roster moves official Monday.

Rookie offensive lineman Donovan Williams has been signed by the Bears, joining receiver Kieran Duncan, punter Ben LeCompte and defensive lineman Kenton Adeyeme. Each of the four undrafted free agent rookies earned their spots through tryouts this weekend at rookie mini-camp.

In turn, the Bears waived offensive lineman Dan Buchholz, tight end Marcus Lucas, defensive lineman Bruce Gaston and receiver Nathan Palmer.

Gaston became a role player on the Bears' defensive line last season. Bears newcomers Akiem Hicks and Jonathan Bullard can each play inside behind starter Eddie Goldman, while Will Sutton and Ego Ferguson were drafted to Chicago as defensive tackles.

By bringing the roster to 90 players, the Bears should be set through the rest of the offseason.
