Bears Notes: Fuller, Bennett, McCray Sit Out Practice

(CBS) Bears cornerback Kyle Fuller (hand/hip), safety Danny McCray (knee) and tight end Martellus Bennett (hamstring) each sat out Wednesday's practice as they recover from injuries.

Fuller left Sunday's loss to the Dolphins in the third quarter with a right hip pointer. He also suffered a broken right hand in the game, but that's considered a "non-surgical issue," Chicago coach Marc Trestman said Monday. It's the hip pointer that will most likely determine if he can play Sunday at New England. His absence would be a huge blow to the Bears defense, as he's been the unit's biggest playmaker with three interceptions and three forced fumbles.

Sherrick McManis would likely have a bigger role if Fuller can't play Sunday.

Also on Wednesday, Bears linebackers Lance Briggs (ribs) and Jon Bostic (back) were limited participants. They each missed Sunday's game.

Safety Chris Conte was a full participant, suggesting he'll be ready to play against the Patriots after missing Sunday's contest with a shoulder injury. Conte has left four games early this season with shoulder and/or concussion issues.
