Bears Make 2 Minor Roster Moves
(CBS) The Bears have signed receiver Ify Umodu to a three-year deal and waived linebacker Jamil Merrell, they announced Monday afternoon.
Umodu was a tryout player at Chicago's rookie mini-camp in May and played collegiately at Northern Arizona, where he had 136 catches for 1,883 yards in 39 games from 2010-'14.
Merrell finished last season on the Bears' practice squad after going undrafted in 2014.
