Bears CB Kyle Fuller Undergoes Knee Scope; Status Is 'Week-To-Week'

By Chris Emma--

(CBS) With Week 1 approaching fast, the Bears' depth at cornerback is set for a test.

Bears coach John Fox revealed to reporters Thursday in New England that cornerback Kyle Fuller underwent a knee scope.

"I'm not really big on that because it really never works out, so I would call it week to week," Fox said when asked for a timetable.

Fuller's knee pain has come gradually during training camp. He didn't travel to New England, where the Bears lost 23-22 on Thursday after three days of practicing with the Patriots.

The Bears started reserve Jacoby Glenn in Fuller's place, but Glenn would leave the game early with a concussion. DeVante Bausby and rookie Deiondre' Hall also mixed into Fuller's spot.

Week 1 comes on Sept. 11 in Houston. It's now in question whether Fuller will be a part of it for the Bears.

"It was kind of getting worse and worse and didn't get better," said Fox, "and I'm not a big fan of doing the same old stuff. I use a different word most of the time, but I think, you know, it was kind of bothering him, so we wanted to see and get it fixed. I think when we gets medically cleared, he will be back out there."
