At Least One Dead In Downstate Illinois Explosion
(CBS) -- At least one person is dead following an explosion in the downtown of Canton, a central Illinois town southwest of Peoria.
The explosion occurred Wednesday evening in the town square, Fulton County ESDA reported on its Facebook page. Buildings were damaged.
The one fatality was confirmed by the Fulton County coroner's office. Another person was flown to a Peoria hospital, television station WMBD reported. Others were reported injured.
