Belts - Oversized sweaters are popular this time of year. To take yours up a notch, try adding a brightly colored skinny belt. Be on trend with two skinny belts overlapping. Make sure the colors or patterns are complementary with each other, for example: leopard and orange or turquoise and plum.

Chunky jewelry - A statement piece over a sweater is a great day-to-night look. If you're just a jeans and tee-shirt kind of gal, add some sparkle to your tee with a brightly colored necklace or layered bracelets.

Scarves - Scarves are a perfect staple to any ensemble. With all of the different ways to tie a scarf, you are sure to have many different looks with just one piece.

Layer - Layering is key for the fall season. With the weather constantly changing, it's nice to know you can always remove a layer or two if it gets warmer in the afternoon. Build on basics. A tank you wore in the summer can easily be used in the fall under a sweater, jacket or with a scarf.

Bright Bags - Not ready to invest in a whole fall wardrobe? A bright bag always adds an extra pep to your step. Popular colors this season are blue and purple. These colored bags also transition well into the warmer months.

Boots - Boots can go with everything. From knee-high to combat, you will see all styles on the shelves this fall. Pair with tights, leggings, over skinny jeans or even with a long skirt.

Sweaters - Not ready to put away your favorite summer dress? Throw a tight knit sweater over it to create a different look. Your dress transforms into a fall skirt within seconds. Add some accessories, a bright bag, combat boots and you are ready for the fall season in a few easy steps!

Bonus tip: For those fashionistas on a budget, try consignment! You would be surprised how many on-trend pieces you can find in consignment shops for a fraction of the original price.
