Adams Street Viaduct Demolition Scheduled Through Monday

(STMW) -- Demolition of the Adams Street Viaduct is scheduled for this weekend as part of the first stage of construction over the Union Station tracks.

Work began after the Friday rush hour and will continue until 5 a.m. Monday, according to a statement from the Chicago Department of Transportation. Pedestrians will be allowed into buildings in this area and the Adams Street entrance to Union Station during the demolition work.

The demolition is scheduled for completion by next weekend, which will have a similar schedule.
