TGIF!!! (Ain't it the truth!)

Hi Everyone,

So it is Artscape weekend! I point this out because even though we will see temps return to the 90's  conditions will actually be quite comfortable.  Here is why I say this.

For YEARS, WJZ was the sponsor of Artscape. The anchors, and reporters would make appearances at the WJZ pavilion, (and it really was one), and on stage. Many of us would be down at Artscape the entire weekend. And more often than not it was BRUTALLY hot, and humid. I mean heat index numbers of like 105+. I can remember one year sitting with Don and signing autographs for 3 hours. folks lined up to say "HI!" but what those viewers could not see was Don and I sitting with our feet in buckets of ice water.  LEGIT hot ya'll.

This year 92-94 degrees looks pretty good to me. Swinging and sweating to Trombone Shorty on Sunday night we will be. But struggling to even get a breath in the heavy, hot, humid, air we won't be.

Real quick let's discuss possible t-storms this weekend. I think the best time would be Saturday afternoon/evening. I don't see severe weather, or the day being ruined. But be aware we will see some energy associated with the warm front pressing up the I-95 corridor. Sunday the threat of aft/eve t-storms is more of a mention than actually putting that symbol up on a weather map.
