WEATHER BLOG: Getting Back To Normal

Hi Everyone!

Getting back to normal, slowly but surely. And the melt will continue today. These clear skies are a fine sight to see. And that leads me to today's discussion. Let's move away from the snow table right now.

With these clear mornings a celestial fine sight to see is playing out right now. I fear with the snow this has gone to page 2. This is the alignment of 5 planets in the morning sky. You can see the visible solar system in one look..go to www.earthsky.org and get the info. This is worth your time. The last time it happened the view was at night, and in warmer weather. Easier viewing if you will.  Again, what a sight to see. Worth getting up a bit earlier and putting on a coat. You let your eyes go to neutral focus, in other words see it all, and the spacial distances  come into play. At that time you are looking at a real 3d view. And this is thanks to the big domes of high pressure that keep moving over us, and throwing approaching storms away from the Mid-Atlantic.  Check it out.
