19-year-old, mother arrested after shooting during DeKalb County school football game, deputies say

A 19-year-old suspect and his mother have been arrested and are facing charges in connection with a shooting during a DeKalb County high school football game.

Authorities say the shooting happened on Feb. 19 at Miller Grove High School.

According to investigators, 19-year-old Isaiah Reid fired multiple shots at DeKalb County school resource officers after he was ordered to leave the game.

The DeKalb County Sheriff's Office said its fugitive unit, agents with the U.S. Marshals Service, and the Gwinnett Fugitive Task Force took Reid into custody without incident at a Duluth apartment complex.

Law enforcement also arrested Reid's mother, Michelle Reid, who is accused of picking him up from the game after the shooting.

Isaiah Reid is facing multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault upon a public safety officer, terroristic threats, and multiple counts of first-degree criminal damage to property. Michelle Reid is charged with aggravated assault and hindering the apprehension of a fugitive or felon.

Both the mother and son were taken to the DeKalb County Jail, where they remain in custody without bond.
