The Don Geronimo Show - July 19, 2012

Don begins the day by telling us that Julie Chen will be on the show next week, but that her publicist will be keeping a watchful eye on Don, making sure he's nice to her, in light of the "Patricia Heaton Incident" from his "Don and Mike" days. Don also tells us that tomorrow will be a "Best Of" show, as he'll be taking the day off to help out Janet, who is having an operation tomorrow (so keep her in your prayers!). We then hear that Fred Willard was busted for exposing himself at the Tiki Theatre in Hollywood, and that Talkers Magazine has Don at #85 in their list of "Top 100 Sports Radio Personalities."

After discussing Rush Limbaugh's asinine comments about the new "Dark Knight" movie, and his "Liberal conspiracy" theory, Don calls a Chick-Fil-A in Dallas to ask them about their CEO's comments on gay marriage.

The guys then talk about Larry King's new show on Hulu.com, and his interview with Seth MacFarlane. This gets Don telling us about his favorite LK stories, including the time he met his daughter Chaia at a mall in D.C. Don also plays a few great LK clips, including "Paint your bald spot" and "30 straight days." Little Joe then tells us about his dream last night, in which Steve gave Joe a rock as a birthday gift. After the guys play "Random Karaoke," and Slow Joe does his Charlie Manson impersonation, we get a visit from comedian JB Smoove.

JB, who'll be performing at the Punchline in Sac, tells us about being on "Curb Your Enthusiasm," how confusing the terminals are at LAX, comedians who've helped him out, and his opinion of Daniel Tosh's rape joke. He also does an intro for Phantom News!

After JB, comedian Jo Koy stops by. Jo, who is performing at Cobb's Comedy Club in S.F., tells us about all the traveling he's been doing, his buddies in comedy, and gets into a lengthy discussion with Don about porn. We then hear a story about a guy who beat his wife with their dog, and the guys watch a video of a 56 year old woman trying to climb an escalator while riding an electric wheelchair, only to fall backwards in a heap, which Craig finds hilarious!

It's then time for the "Phantom News Hour." Today, Phantom tells us about the Emmy nominations being announced today, Robin Williams is slated to play President Eisenhower, Ryan Reynolds will appear in Family Guy's Christmas episode, and Kathie Lee's musical is going to Broadway. And of course, Don wraps everything up with a caller 100!
