What A Concept

The Kia Kue concept is introduced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Monday, Jan. 8, 2007. A concept car is a prototype made to showcase a concept, new styling, technology and more. They are often unveiled at auto shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not have a chance of being produced.

Jeep

The 2007 Jeep Trailhawk concept is displayed at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Monday, Jan. 8, 2007. Concept cars rarely go into production directly; most undergo at least some changes before the design is finalized for practicality, safety and cost reasons. Concept cars are often radical in engine type or design.

Ford/Airstream

The Ford Airstream concept is displayed at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Monday, Jan. 8, 2007. Ford Motor Co. teamed with the maker of Airstream travel trailers to create a concept touring vehicle inspired by spacecraft as well as the aerodynamic icons of the American road. Its 12 ceremonial rivets pay homage to Airstream's riveted aluminum construction.

Holden

The Holden Efijy concept is displayed at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007. Designers have raised the top of the doors, or the "beltline," in automotive jargon, on many concepts and production cars, reducing window size. It's a trend that will be more pronounced in the future, and can be seen in Volvo's XC-60 crossover, Chrysler's Nassau sedan and the sleek but retro Efijy.
