Opens May 1This prequel to the "X-Men" trilogy focuses on the back story of the mutant Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). The film pits its title character against other mutants like Sabretooth (Liev Schreiber) and the villainous scientist Dr. William Stryker (Danny Houston).
Star Trek
Opens May 8The franchise returns to the big screen again in this J.J. Abrams-directed incarnation, which focuses on the back story of Capt. James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto) before they unite aboard the USS Enterprise. Eric Bana, Zoe Saldana and John Cho also star.
Angels & Demons
Opens May 15Tom Hanks reprises his role as Dr. Robert Langdon in this follow-up to "The Da Vinci Code," in which the scholar discovers and must try to foil a plot by a secret society to kill four cardinals and destroy Vatican City. The film was directed by Ron Howard (who also did "The Da Vinci Code") and also stars Ewan McGregor as a Vatican official.
Terminator Salvation
Opens May 21The fourth film in the "Terminator" series stars Christian Bale as John Connor, who must defend the human race from Skynet and its army of Terminators. Bryce Dallas Howard and Helena Bohnam Carter also star.
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
Opens May 22In this sequel, Ben Stiller reprises his role as Larry Daley, a night guard who watches over the museum's artifacts when they come to life at night. Owen Wilson also returns as cowboy Jedediah Smith, and many new historical figures will appear, including the aviator Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams).
Land of the Lost
Opens June 5In this adaptation of the popular television series by the same name, Will Ferrell plays a has-been scientist that gets sucked into a space-time vortex and goes back to an era when dinosaurs and other fantastic creatures roam the earth. Anna Friel and Danny McBride play a research assistant and a survivalist, respectively, who get stuck in the "Land of the Lost" with Ferrell.
Year One
Opens June 19When lazy hunter-gatherers Zed (Jack Black) and Oh (Michael Cera) are banished from their village, they begin a hilariously epic journey through the ancient world, meeting characters such as Adam and Eve (Harold Ramis and Rhoda Griffis) and Cain and Abel (David Cross and Paul Rudd). Judd Apatow, of "Superbad" and "Knocked Up" fame, produced the film.
The Proposal
Opens June 19When Maggie (Sandra Bullock), a demanding book editor, is threatened to be deported back to Canada, she forces her assistant Andrew (Ryan Reynolds) to marry her so that she can stay in the country. When the government investigates, she's forced to spend the weekend with him and his parents to sell the lie.
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
Opens June 24Shia LaBoeuf reprises his role as Sam Witwicky, who this time discovers some important information about the origins of heroic Autobots and evil Decepticons. He and Mikaela (Meghan Fox) come under attack by the Decepticons, who want to capture Sam for that information.
My Sister's Keeper
Opens June 26A young girl (Abigail Breslin) sues her family for medical emancipation when her parents need her to donate a kidney to her older sister (Sofia Vassilieva), who suffers from leukemia and is in renal failure. Cameron Diaz plays their mother in the film, which is based on the book by the same name by Jodi Picoult.
Public Enemies
Opens July 1This drama stars Christian Bale as a federal agent who tries to take down notorious American gangster John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) in crime-ridden Depression-era Chicago. Marion Cotillard stars as Dillinger's girlfriend, and Channing Tatum as bank robber Pretty Boy Floyd.
Bruno
Opens July 10Sacha Baron Cohen, the man behind Borat and Ali G, is at it again with "Bruno." Cohen plays the title character, a gay Austrian fashionista who brings his antics, mock-documentary style, to locations like Milan Fashion Week, seen here, where he crashed a fashion show in character in September 2008.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Opens July 15The grip of the evil Lord Voldermort (Ralph Fiennes) over the Muggle and magical worlds keeps getting stronger, and Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) fears that Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry is no longer safe. Rupert Grint and Emma Watson reprise their roles as friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, and Jim Broadbent plays new professor Horace Slughorn.

Opens July 31A seasoned comedian (Adam Sandler), upon learning he has less than a year to live, hires an up-and-coming comic (Seth Rogan) as his assistant and takes him under his wing. The film was written, directed and co-produced by Judd Apatow, and his wife Leslie Mann also stars.
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra
Opens Aug. 7An elite military task force takes on the evil organization Cobra in this adaptation of the popular G.I. Joe franchise. Channing Tatum, Dennis Quaid, Sienna Miller and Joseph Gordon-Levitt star in the film and Stephen Sommers directs.

Opens Aug. 7A frustrated secretary (Amy Adams) embarks on a quest to cook all 524 recipes in Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking." The film also covers the years that Child (Meryl Streep) and her husband (Stanley Tucci) spent in Paris during the 1940s and 50s.
The Time Traveler's Wife
Opens Aug. 14This love story centers on the relationship between Henry (Eric Bana), a man who spontaneously jumps back and forth through time, and Claire (Rachel McAdams), the woman who he visits on his journeys. Despite his constant (and uncontrollable) time traveling, the two try to build a life together.
Inglourious Basterds
Opens Aug. 21Quentin Tarantino directs this WWII film inspired by the 1977 movie "Inglorious Bastards." The movie has two separate storylines -- one about a band of Jewish-American soldiers (led by Brad Pitt) who try to take down a group of Nazis, the other centers on a Jewish woman who wants to avenge the death of her parents by that same Nazi group.
