After being ostracized for anti-Bush administration comments in 2003, the Texas trio exploded back onto the music scene, going five-for-five at the Grammys. Their trophies included the rare trifecta of record, album and song of the year.
Ludacris
"So y'all telling me, all I had to do was cut my hair to win a best rap album? Is that what y'all telling me?" -- Ludacris, accepting his award for best rap album. He also gave a "special shout-out" to Oprah Winfrey and Bill O'Reilly, saying "I love ya," tongue firmly in cheek. The rapper has criticized Winfrey and has been criticized by O'Reilly.

Justin Timberlake

The 19-year-old from Houston was among three finalists competing for a chance to sing with Timberlake on the Grammy stage. Viewers sent text messages during the show to select the winner.
Carrie Underwood
"This is my first Grammy! Hopefully the first of a few more," said Carrie Underwood, the 2005 "American Idol" champ, who also singled out "Idol" creator Simon Fuller in her acceptance speech. Last year, another "Idol" champ, Kelly Clarkson, was criticized for not paying tribute to her "Idol" roots. Underwood took home three awards.
