Halle Berry, one of the stars of "Things We Lost In The Fire," arrives at the premiere of the film at Mann's Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles on Monday, Oct. 15, 2007.
A scene from the film: Halle Berry stars as a woman whose husband dies while trying to resolve a domestic dispute. She meets his best friend, a heroin addict played by Benicio del Toro, and eventually invites him to live with her and her two children.
David Duchovny, who plays the do-gooder husband who gets killed, arrives at the premiere of "Things We Lost In The Fire." The cast also includes ...
... Alison Lohman ...
... film newcomer Micah Berry playing Berry's son (though his last name is Berry, the film's producers say, he is not a relative of the film's star) ...
... Alexis Llewellyn, as Halle Berry's daughter. Unlike her "brother," Llewellyn is somewhat of a veteran, having appeared in such films as "The Chronicles of Riddick" in 2004.
Robin Weigert, left, and Paula Newsome are also in the cast, seen here at the premiere.
"Things We Lost In The Fire" is the first American feature of Danish director Susanne Bier, pictured here. Known for such films as "Open Hearts," "After the Wedding" and "Brothers," Beir also attended the premiere at Mann's Egyptian Theater in Los Angeles.
Among those appearing at the premiere not associated with the film was Sir Ben Kingsley, Academy Award winner for "Gandhi," who attended with his wife, Daniela Lavender.
... Mario Van Peebles, the director and actor who was once a budget analysis for the City of New York ...
... Clifton Collins, a hard-working actor who is now best-known for playing the killer Perry Smith in 2005's "Capote" ...
... and two actors from the TV series "Brothers & Sisters," Dave Annable and Emily Irene VanCamp (best known for her role in "Everwood").
