At Rita Cosby's book signing party for "Blonde Ambition" I ran into true crime writer Dominick Dunne and Court TV's Beth Karas, who were discussing the Phil Spector trial. Dunne lamented the fact that celebrities just can't seem to be convicted of crimes in Hollywood.

At the book party at Pacha hanging out with my good friend, clothing designer Carmen Marc Valvo. He told me he's received very favorable reviews for his spring collection. He told me that bloggers are an increasingly important source of feedback in the fashion industry. By the way, most of them liked his recent show.

These are my buddies, Kim Commorato and Katie Cosby -- who is Rita's sister-in-law. We met at church and I have fondly dubbed them "The Church Girls." We do a lot together and Katie is the reason I came to be friends with Rita.

Rita showed up near the end of her party and was surrounded by paparazzi, well wishers -- and was served with a $60 million lawsuit filed by Anna Nicole's companion, Howard K. Stern. I grabbed Rita for a quick hug before heading out the door to get some shuteye before that early 4 a.m. wake-up call I face each day.
