The couple offered their prayers to victims of Monday's tornado in Virginia and offered practical advice to victims Holly Hoffler and her brother, and Gregory Parker via satellite.
Ann and Bob Dixson (shown in the monitor) lost everything in the Greensburg tornado. They used their first-hand experience to encourage Virginia-ites about recovering from tornadoes. They said its important to rely on friends, family and faith, but its important to take care of themselves.
Harry Smith joined the Greensburg High School Raiders boys basketball team basketball team on April 30, 2008, where a big surprise was waiting just behind the gym doors.
The University of Kansas Jayhawks, winners of this year's NCAA men's basketball tournament, shocked the Greensburg High Rangers basketball team and town residents with a surprise visit to the school. Despite a devastating tornado and no home court advantage, the high school's boy's team made it to the state tournament for the first time in 30 years.

Even the littlest fans appreciated the Jayhawks' visit to Greensburg High.
To top off a surprise-filled morning, Wilson's Sporting Goods donated lots of apparel and equipment to the students of Greensburg on April 30, 2008. NAMM, the trade association for the international music products industry, said it would donate as much money and equipment as it takes to get the school's music program up and running again.
In keeping with the town's eco-friendly theme of rebuilding, Wilson's Sporting Goods sent its "Rebound" basketballs among its donations. The world's first "green" basketballs are both green in color and made from recycled rubber.
Capturing new memories in Greensburg, Kan., April 30, 2008. Officials got Greensburg High reopened on Aug. 15, just three-and-a-half months after a deadly tornado changed Greensburg forever. The high school team was as determined as the rest of the community to recover, playing a 20-game schedule, all on the road due to damage the at the school, and making it to the state tournament for the first time in 30 years.
