ABC had a party in Beverly Hills, Calif., to promote its fall lineup. William Baldwin, third oldest of the four Baldwin brothers, was there to promote the new series in which he will be one of the stars. He will play Sen. Patrick Darling in "Dirty Sexy Money," one of the network's eight new prime-time series.
Peter Krause, formerly of "Six Feet Under," is also in "Dirty Sexy Money," playing an idealistic lawyer who becomes counsel to the shockingly wealthy Darlings of New York, a family played by a number of veteran performers, including Donald Sutherland as Patrick Tripp Darling III.
Jill Clayburgh will play Letitia Darling in "Dirty Sexy Money," one of the three new shows on ABC on Wednesday this fall.
Kate Walsh, who played Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery in "Grey's Anatomy," is still playing her, but in her own show. In "Private Practice," also scheduled for Wednesdays, she moves from Seattle to Southern California to join her friends' health cooperative in hopes of changing around her own life.
It's clear that "Private Practice", like "Grey's Anatomy," will have its share of McMaleBeauties, including Chris Lowell ...
... and Taye Diggs ...
... and Tim Daly.
Laura Harris, Paula Newsome, Aubrey Dollar, and Angie Harmon are among the stars of "Women's Murder Club," a series about an all-female group of crime-fighting experts, including a medical examiner, an assistant district attorney, and (do they really fight crime?), a newspaper reporter.
Lee Pace and Anna Friel spoke about their roles in "Pushing Daisies" at the ABC press event in Beverly Hills. Pace plays Ned, who bakes pies for a living but also has a sideline of bringing people back from the dead, albeit only for a moment, which he puts to use to solve murder mysteries. The one person he brought back to life and who stayed alive is his childhood sweetheart, whose name is Chuck, played by Friel.
Christina Applegate, best-known for playing dim-witted Kelly Bundy on "Married... with Children," is starring in "Samantha Who?" about a woman who -- here's a novel plot device! -- develops amnesia. She soon pieces together from her friends and family that she was a horrible person and attempts to remake herself for the good.
Dylan McDermott, formerly of "The Practice," stars in a new drama called "Big Shots" about four dysfunctional chief executive officers who meet at their country club.
The other actors playing CEOs in "Big Shots" include (left to right), Michael Vartan, formerly of "Alias," Christopher Titus, once of "Titus," and Joshua Malina, who had roles in both "The West Wing" and "Sports Night."
Lucy Liu is one of four stars of "Cashmere Mafia," a midseason replacement from producer Darren Star of "Sex And The City" and writer Kevin Wade of "Working Girl." The show deals with high-powered female professionals in Manhattan.
Shawn Pyfrom, who plays gay teen Andrew Van De Kamp in "Desperate Housewives," was one of the several actors in ongoing series to appear at the press tour. The show's creator promised that in the fourth season, the first same-sex couple will move into Wisteria Lane.
Anne Heche and James Tupper, co-stars of the series "Men In Trees," posed at the ABC All-Star Party.
Real-life newlyweds Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell face something of a mixed marriage. She is an actress on an already-running series, "Ugly Betty," which is about to enter its second season. He is one of the four main actors in a series that has not yet established itself: "Carpoolers" may be the first TV series in prime time to focus on commuting.
