The singer/actress filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Dec. 27, citing irreconcilable differences. The couple, who were introduced three years ago by their mutual music manager, announced they had separated in November.

Deschanel, 31, stars in Fox's new sitcom "New Girl," which was picked up for a full season and also received a Golden Globe nomination. The actress has also released three albums with her bandmate M. Ward under the name She & Him.

The couple was married in Sept. 2009 and has no children together.

Deschanel's publicist has said that the couple's split was "amicable."
