Women Linked to Gosselin Go at Each Other

Ratings for the reality show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" have been on the decline since they announced they're divorcing.

Jon Gosselin's been seen around the world with a number of different women, sparking speculation about who his new love interest really is.

And, observes CBS News Correspondent Michelle Gielan, the women thought to be in his life now have been putting themselves in the spotlight.

This week, both of his supposed girlfriends hit the entertainment news circuit, staking their claims to their role as Jon's new girl.

"I love Jon. I'm not some fame whore," 22-year-old Hailey Glassman told the E! network's Giuliana Rancic.

Glassman insisted she's been completely misunderstood.

Asked what she thinks when people accuse her of being a home wrecker, Glassman replied, "One part of me says, 'Obviously, I'm not. It's ridiculous.' But another part says, 'But, from what the public sees, since TLC (the network of "Jon & Kate Plus 8") didn't allow them to come out and say their marriage was done a year ago ... (it might be understandable why some people would, incorrectly, think that). ' "

"Like the rest of the country," says Rancic, "I, too, had just seen all these pictures of Hailey Glassman as a wild party girl. I had heard rumors of Hailey being a home wrecker. But, I gotta say, that's what I thought I was gonna meet when I saw her. But she was the opposite of that."

"There's so many lies and just ridiculous stories circulating," Glassman contends.

But a few days later, Jon's other possible girlfriend, Kate Major, told "Inside Edition" about how she felt after being called a liar when she went public about the relationship she says she's had with Gosselin.

Major is slated to sit down for an interview on "The Early Show" Friday.

When told Gosselin is saying she's lying, Major responded, "Well, he's lying! I wouldn't sit here on national television and make something up like this."

"How soon after meeting her did you have sex with Jon Gosselin?"

"It was within the next few days, unfortunately."

Despite Major's insistence about the affair, Glassman says she's still doubtful.

"You think she was making up that whole story that she was romantic with Jon?" Rancic asked.

"I know what Jon tells me and I know him," Glassman answered. "You know -- she's cuckoo, cuckoo!"

All in all, Gielan points out, girl problems haven't done much for Gosselin's family life or career.

Last week, police were called to the Gosselins' Pennsylvania home after Kate reportedly disapproved of Jon's choice of babysitters: 23-year-old cocktail waitress Stephanie Santoro

"She tried to come home ... and I wouldn't let her in the gate," Jon admitted to reporters. "And I guess she called the police, and the police came."

Jon Gosselin, says Gielan, could be in trouble with TLC. Although TLC hasn't had any comment on Jon's personal life," celebrity Web site TMZ.com reports Jon could be in violation of the morals clause of his contract -- a breach that could end up costing him plenty.

Child welfare advocate and attorney Gloria Allred says she "would be concerned about the long-term impact of this on the children, particularly because the parents are going through a divorce."

Still, TMZ also says Jon is talking to producers about a new show centered around divorced celebrities, to be called "Divorced Dads Club." The big question, Gielan notes, is whether Jon can embark on a new reality show before fulfilling his prior commitment to TLC.
