There are many unhappily married couples out there. But now many of them are choosing not to divorce. So have fighting couples suddenly found their inner peace? No way, say experts: It's all about the down economy and avoiding nasty battles in court.

The so-called "un-divorced" are people opt to separate, but stay married -- or stay together and remain miserable.

And aside from money, some couples say they stay together for their kids' well-being, among other reasons.
