What if mathletes got the same respect as athletes?

(CBS) - Today is Pi Day, a holiday that is near and dear to the hearts of all of us here at The Feed. What can we say, we're just a bunch of fun geeks and nerds. And to honor this day, we have a tongue-in-cheek video that imagines a world where mathletes get the same respect and love as athletes. Check it out.

Oh, what a world that would be to live in... your blogger here was actually a pretty solid mathlete growing up (I even have some nice big trophies to prove it). But I digress.

The amusing music video was put together by BYU who write:

The BYU math students will get a taste of fame as they create some March Madness with the William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition.
Leading scorer Sam Dittmer was a national math champ in high school and recruited by MIT and Stanford. His teammates Hiram Golze and Robert Yang took BYU to the Sweet 16 last season. With Sam back on the squad, they're hoping to make some noise again this year.
We love the video and wish the BYU math students all the best at the William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition!  If you'd like to learn more about the BYU math team, you can visit their website by clicking here.
