Tonight: Going Inside The Russian Mob

Tonight, CBS News Chief Investigative Correspondent Armen Keteyian goes inside an undercover investigation into the Russian mob.

Two former undercover FBI agents provide a rare look behind the scenes of the Red Mafia, exposing a perilous world of arms and diamond smuggling, cyber crime and health and credit card fraud and a voracious appetite for violence.

They are a far cry from the romanticized world of the Sopranos.

Keteyian's report comes days after the Justice Department announced it was launching a bold, 21st Century strategy against international organized crime in what Attorney General Michael Mukasey said was aimed at combating the "growing threat" International Organized Crime poses to U.S. Security and Stability.
