It was a week of announcements and confessions from all types of celebrities.

Nicole Richie confirmed to ABC's Diane Sawyer this week that she's four months pregnant by Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden. Authorities for the sheriff's department also revealed that Richie asked to serve her DUI sentence at the Los Angeles County Jail, just like her BFF Paris Hilton.

Star Jones finally fessed up about how she lost all that weight. In an article in Glamour magazine the big weight loser said she had gastric bypass surgery, but had dodged questions about the method ever since because she was worried about what people might think.

Former Spice Girl Mel B held a press conference to announce that she was filing a petition to establish that Eddie Murphy is the father of her baby and that she'll be seeking sole custody and child support. She also said that although their relationship was short, the pregnancy was planned.

Usher let it be known this week that his wedding to pregnant fiancée Tameka Foster is still on, despite having canceled their weekend nuptials at the last minute.

She said she discovered the lump the same day she covered the funeral of film critic Joel Siegel, who died of colon cancer. As a result, she took it seriously and saw a doctor.

Whoopi Goldberg will be the new moderator of "The View," the show's host, Barbara Walters announced this week. The Whoopster's one worry? "Trying to get in between everyone talking at one time," she said.

Lane Garrison apologized to the family of a 17-year-old boy killed in a crash while the actor was behind the wheel. A judge ordered Garrison to undergo a 90-day evaluation before handing down the sentence on the actor's DUI conviction.

Someone snitched on Lindsay Lohan, the New York Post claims. The source told Page Six that Lohan walked off the set of a photo shoot for Elle magazine with Louis Vuitton items that were strictly on loan for the shoot. Reps for Lohan, Vuitton and Elle did not respond to requests for comment.

Finally, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were officially divorced this week but there won't be any revelations about the content of their custody and support agreements. Spears' lawyer said they wanted to keep the children's schedule a secret to protect their safety.
