Sync Your BlackBerry with Google Calendar

Big news from Google yesterday: You can now sync Google Calendar with your BlackBerry. Here's the scoop on the aptly named Google Sync, straight from the Big G:

Get calendar alerts - Using your BlackBerry smartphone's native calendar, you can now access your Google calendar even when you don't have network coverage and be alerted for upcoming appointments with sound or vibration.
Always in sync - Your Google Calendar stays synchronized whether you access it from your computer or your phone. You can add or edit entries right on your BlackBerry smartphone or on your Google Calendar on the web.

To get started, all you do is hit that link up top and enter your mobile number; Google will send a link to your phone. Or, you can point your BlackBerry's browser to mobile.google.com and sign up for the service directly. This should be very happy news indeed for BlackBerry-toting Google Calendar users, who previously had to rely on a third-party solution like GooSync. [via Google Operating System]
