Survivor: Fights And Snakes

With a title like "Crazy Fights, Snake Dinners," you can be sure tonight's episode of "Survivor: Panama — Exile Island" will be full of thrills and chills.

After four tribes became two, early alliances formed. But tonight we'll find out if such bonds were premature.

The castaways will continue to battle hunger and rain, with Shane going a little crazy at a physical challenge.

Last week, it was Shane versus Melinda, but Melinda got the axe. "The only thing that I can think of is they had an alliance," Hyder told The Early Show co-anchor Harry Smith the next morning. "And in their minds it would be better to keep him because he's numbers for them, and out there numbers is a huge thing. If you have the numbers, you are doing well."

While the going was rough out there, Hyder was hoping to stay. "It was really hard out there and the longer I stayed, actually, the harder it got, but the more I wanted to stay," she said. "I wanted to fight it out."

And when the other tribemates waffled over the final call, Hyder says it was an exasperating situation. "It was really hard. At that point, I said, 'What do you want us to do? Rock, paper scissors to decide?'

"I worked my butt off to get here. I'm not doing rock, paper scissors to decide if I'm going home or not."

Smith wondered whether the decision might have had something to do with the generation gap between the contestants, calling it "an age thing."

The week before, it was Tina Scheer, the lumberjack, who got the boot.

Perceived as the most outspoken in her tribe, Tina met her demise at Tribal Council when she questioned others' work ethic.

After seeing her torch extinguished, Tina delivers her final words: "I think the girls made a huge mistake voting me out. I hope they do terribly. I have no regrets. I was just with the wrong girls."
