Simon Faces Trespassing Charge
Former Arizona basketball star Miles Simon faces a misdemeanor trespassing charge involving Albert Belle.
Police say Belle called them at 1 a.m. on Dec. 15 to complain that Simon was knocking loudly on his door. Simon and two friends went to Belle's home in West Tucson to see Simon's ex-girlfriend, a police report said.
A conviction on the trespassing charge would carry a penalty of up to 30 days in jail and a $500 fine, police Sgt. Brett Klein said Thursday.

Simon, drafted by the Orlando Magic in June, is working out in Tucson during the NBA lockout.
According to the police report, Simon called Belle and asked to speak to the woman, and Belle told him she did not want to talk to him.
Simon told Belle he was coming to his home, and Belle warned he would call police if he did.
When Simon and his friends arrived, Belle phoned police and without opening the door, told the visitors to leave.
Police said Simon denied that Belle told him not to come over. Belle recently signed with the Baltimore Orioles.
Simon is Darryl Strawberry's brother-in-law.
