Shelby: "No Agreement"
Senator Richard Shelby, the ranking member on the Senate Banking Committee, just emerged from the White House meeting, saying, "I don't believe we have an agreement... We haven't gotten an agreement, we have a lot of different opinions."
The Alabama senator, a fiscal hawk, said he has reviewed the works of "five economists" who said the $700 billion rescue package wasn't the best way to stave off a severe downturn.
