Runway Style For Cheap Chic Price
For this week's "Chic on a Shoestring" The Early Show gave Glamour Magazine's executive fashion director Suze Yalof Schwartz $200 per ensemble to create three outfits worthy of the runway. She then put together her own runway show to compare the stylish knockoffs to their pricey designer counterparts.
In "Designer Vs. Discount" Early Show anchors were challenged to pick which outfits are which. Harry was the game show host. Check out how Julie, Hannah and Rene did. At the end, Schwartz proved that it is not so easy to tell the difference.

This trend is the combination of the sportswear mixed with luxury to make it look sexy and hip. Combine a big parka with a mini skirt, chic boots, and you've hit the trend out of the park. We have a parka from Tommy Hilfiger for $150 and one from Sears for $40.

The Bomber Look
Score:
Julie – 1 is discount
Hannah – 2 is discount
Rene – 2 is discount
The bomber look was very hot last season as an extension of the military look. We saw it in a modified version of the '80s bomber jackets from the movie "Top Gun" but now we see it modified as shorter and lighter. It's cozy and sexy at the same time. We have two bombers here, one from Theory for $600 and one from Target for $29.99.
1 The Discount Outfit:
Target bomber: $29.99
Merona pencil skirt (Target): $9.98
Colin Stuart heels: $39
Total: $78.97
2 The Designer Outfit:
Theory fur jacket: $600
Louis Vuitton skirt: $745
Stuart Weitzman heels: $300
Total: $1,645
Julie won! She had a perfect score. Rene came in second. Sorry Hannah, you have to do more bargain shopping.
