Regis Philbin: Medical problem sends him for tests
(CBS) On Wednesday's "Live with Regis and Kelly," co-host Regis Philbin had some discomfort on air and had to drink a glass of water, prompting an exchange about his health.
According to USA Today, Philbin, 79, has been suffering from an acid reflex-type of stomach problem for months.

"I'm not all right," said Philbin when co-host Kelly Ripa asked him whether he was OK. "I've got the indigestion problem. It's more than indigestion. I just decided yesterday to go in for a ... scope," he said, according to USA Today.
He said that he would drink barium and then have an X-ray or MRI. When "Live" executive Michael Gelman asked if the show could film the procedure, Philbin said, "No."
Philbin has had problems with his health in the past. He underwent triple bypass surgery in 2007.
The health talk wasn't all serious, however. When Philbin decided they were done talking about his upcoming procedure, Ripa quipped, "And that was the Regis Philbin medical update!"
