New Gadgets From Motorola
Motorola, the long time leader in cell phones and pagers and such, has been up against some stiff competition of late. But some new products coming to market are bound to attract some attention. "Motorola's got another new cellular phone. If you carry a plenty pack of Wrigley's gum, seventeen sticks, if you carry that around in your pocket all day you know the experience of carrying one of our new V Series phones."
Motorola's Josh Kiem says the tiny phones should start to reach the market early next year. It's smaller than one of the company's new pagers...
"We have a pager with an operating system. An organizer which will allow you to integrate many of the features you might use, like a calendar, into your paging operation."
You enter your calendar and address book items on a computer, and it sends the information using an infrared wireless connection, to the pager. Motorola is also coming out this fall with the biggest wireless phone you've seen in a while. It connects from anywhere in the world using the Iridium satellite network. Prices start at about 25 hundred dollars.
