Munchkin Mania

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, will be Munchkinland this weekend, reports CBS News Correspondent Bill Whitney.

Fans of The Wizard of Oz will gather for the 33rd annual Munchkin Convention. It features Karl Slover, one of the original Munchkins, and Donna Stewart-Hardway, one of the 12 children who played Munchkins in the movie. This is the 60th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz - it was released in 1939.

The U.S. chapter of the International Wizard of Oz club, founded in 1957 by a small group of movie enthusiasts, holds three separate conventions each year, one in the West, Midwest, and East.

A national convention will be held next year on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, which has a large collection of Oz memorabilia in its school library.
