Moose Makes A Splash

Just about everyone is looking for a way to beat the heat this summer.

But the sight of a moose cooling off in a Spokane, Wash. pool is still an unusual sight. The 1,500-pound bull moose decided he'd had enough of the hot weather.

The uninvited guest surprised owner Randi Longmeier as it jumped over the backyard fence. The animal then dove into the pool for a couple of strokes, carefully climbed out, and hopped the fence again without any problems.

Perhaps next time, the moose will stay for more than a quick dip.
