Among the new features is touch-screen support to better integrate with the new Windows 8, a stylus content creating feature called Inking, cloud integration via SkyDrive and professional social network Yammer.

Windows XP users may be left out in the cold. According to the blog The Verge, the new Office suite will only work with Windows 7 and Windows 8, dropping support for Windows XP and Vista. While Windows XP was launched by Microsoft over 10 years ago, it remains a popular operating system.

Office preview is available now at Microsoft's website.
