McConnell "exhausted" By Close Victory

Mitch McConnell says he dodged a bullet with his victory tonight, declaring in a victory speech that he is "grateful" and "humbled" that Kentuckians have returned him to the Senate for a fifth term.

"Winston Churchill once said that the most exhilarating feeling in life is to be shot at - and missed," McConnell said in his victory speech in Louisville. "After the last few months, I think what he really meant to say is that there's nothing more exhausting."
