Lindsay Lohan Has Appendix Removed

Lindsay Lohan had her appendix removed Thursday and is currently resting comfortably, reports Entertainment Tonight.

Her rep confirmed to The ShowBuzz earlier in the day that Lohan was scheduled to have the surgery.

Lohan was not feeling well on Wednesday and went to see her doctor. He sent her to the hospital and advised an appendectomy as a precaution.

This is not the first hospital visit for Lohan in recent months. She was rushed to a hospital in September for a fractured wrist after she fell at Milk Studios in New York where she attending a Fashion week event.

At the time, her publicist told "Access Hollywood" that Lohan slipped while walking in an outdoor area in flat Chanel boots and that "there's a pending investigation," because the actress claims the venue didn't take the necessary precautions to make the ground less slippery.

The actress made headlines recently for admitting that she's been attending Alcoholics Anonymous classes for the past year.
