Jurors Hear Michael Jackson Message
A California jury has heard phone messages Michael Jackson left for Marc Schaffel, pledging his admiration for Schaffel, who's now suing the pop star for nearly $4 million.
The tapes, from 2001, were played to show Jackson trusted Schaffel with handling millions of dollars.
In one message, Jackson says: "I like you. I love you. ... I really want us to be friends and conquer the business world together."
Schaffel testified he worked on a number of projects for Jackson, including a collaboration with actor Marlon Brando and a charity recording that was never released.
Schaffel says he was never fully paid for two videos he made for Jackson, and wasn't repaid fully for $300,000 he delivered to Brazil for one of Jackson's personal matters.
