Jon Gosselin's Side of He-Said, She Said

Kate Gosselin claims estranged husband Jon gutted a joint account of theirs, leaving only $1,000 of the $231,000 that was in it.

Jon says not so, and produced bank records for "The Insider" he contends prove his point.

On "The Early Show" Tuesday, "Insider" correspondent Chris Matthews gave details of the grilling Gosselin got from an "Insider" panel.

Kate claims the $1,000 is all that remained in the account for her to pay the bills and feed the couple's eight kids with.

The two stars of the TLC reality show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" are involved in divorce proceedings.

"I'm trying to prove that I'm speaking the truth," Jon told the panel. "I'm a new man. I want to own up to everything I did and I'm proving it to you now that I only took 22,000 dollars," which he says was the proceeds of a paycheck of his from the show.

But the panelists didn't seem entirely convinced the papers Jon produced were adequate.

Kate is now said to have fired back by filing legal papers in Pennsylvania to force Jon to return the money she claims he took without her knowledge.
