Inmate missing from prison near Green Bay, Wisconsin

ONEIDA, Wis. -- Police say an inmate has gone missing from a prison just outside of Green Bay, Wis., reports CBS affiliate WFRV.

Phillip Burton, Jr., 23, was reported missing from the minimum security Sanger B. Powers Correctional Center in Oneida around 9 p.m. Sunday.

The Appleton Post-Crescent newspaper reports that Burton was last seen heading towards Wisconsin State Route 29, which runs about three miles from the prison.

Burton was convicted in 2012 of robbery with the threat of force and theft. He was sentenced in the case to six years and three months in prison, according to court records.
