Hoyer Still Not Predicting Bailout Vote

With less than an hour to go before the big vote, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer is still not saying if he thinks the bailout bill will pass.

“I believe we have the majority of the votes on our side,” said Hoyer Friday morning. “I just hope the Republicans have the votes on their side.”

While Hoyer wouldn’t offer any predictions, he said he remains “hopeful” that Congress can pass the bill and send a positive signal to the markets before they close at 4pm.
