Fish Release Tyrone Wheatley
The Miami Dolphins have released running back Tyrone Wheatley.
He's been cut less than a week into camp. Wheatley was unimpressive in carrying seven times for 18 yards in the team's first scrimmage.
Wheatley was the New York Giants' first-round draft choice in 1995. He started eight games in four seasons and last year carried only 14 times for 52 yards.
The Dolphins acquired him from New York in February for a seventh-round draft choice.
