First look: Kellie Pickler on "90210"

(CBS) Country singer Kellie Pickler is heading to Beverly Hills - on TV, that is.

The "American Idol" finalist will appear on an upcoming episode of "90210."

Pickler will play Sally, a country singer who is a cousin of Austin's (played by Justin Deeley).

Last month, the singer tweeted about her acting debut: "Had a blast filming with the cast of 90210!! So exciting!!!"

Her episode will air on Oct. 18. Later in the season, fans will meet another member of Austin's family, when Billy Ray Cyrus guest stars as his dad.
