Condiment Crime Spree Suspect Arrested Again

Joy L. Cassidy (Ada County Sheriff's Dept.)

BOISE, Idaho (CBS/AP) Idaho Police arrested Joy L. Cassidy after a bench warrant was issued last week because she failed to appear at a court hearing on charges stemming from her condiment-centric June vandalism arrest.

The 74-year-old Cassidy is accused of pouring mayonnaise in the Ada County library's book drop box on June 13 and police say she was a person of interest in at least 10 other condiment-related crimes.

Yes, that's correct. A condiment crime spree.

Since May 2009, library workers reportedly found books in the drop box slathered in a melange of condiments including corn syrup, ketchup, maple syrup and mayonnaise.

Was she sticking it to the library for overdue late fees? Or does she loathe the Dewey Decimal System that much?

Cassidy is being charged with malicious injury to property and carrying a concealed weapon without a license.

No word on whether or not her library card has been revoked.
