Duties include but not limited to the design, development, and maintenance of: daily local news stories, local guide features, on air personality biographies, sales campaigns, and special content areas

Comprehensive knowledge of HTML (JavaScript and CSS is a plus)
Be able to write HTML that is optimized to display prioritized content first
Be familiar with embedding Flash, Shockwave, Windows Media, and Real Media in HTML documents
Be able to create optimized web graphics using Adobe ImageReadyDesign needs:
Have a comprehensive knowledge of Photoshop, and Illustrator (Flash3 ability is a plus)

B.) Senior Web Developers:
Contributing to the continued creation and maintenance of the news, entertainment, and local sections of the website
2 to 3 years of professional Internet development experienceThe ideal candidate will have all or the majority of the following qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Be able to write HTML that is optimized to display prioritized content first
Be able to use JavaScript to negotiate intelligently the incompatibilities between Microsoft and Netscape browsers
Be familiar with embedding Flash, Shockwave, Windows Media, and Real Media in HTML documents
Be able to utilize CSS to create heavily designed web pages with low weight
Have the communication skills necessary to keep designers and producers informed of the technical limitations and possibilities of client-side code
Understand the implications coding decisions have on work flow

C.) Junior Web Developers:

One year of professional Internet development experienceThe ideal candidate will have all or the majority of the following qualifications:
Be able to create HTML documents from Photoshop documents
Have experience testing and debugging html in Netscape & Internet Explorer on both MAC and windows platforms
Be able to optimize graphics for the web using ImageReady or Debabelizer
Be able to communicate effectively within a team and work on tight deadlines
Have familiarity with a desire to learn more about JavaScript

D.) Sales and Marketing Designer:
Strong sense of design in relation to sales and marketing objectives is necessary
Must work well within strict deadlines, and be able to prioritize multiple projects at once
Overall understanding of the Internet and how it functions as well as general knowledge of Internet sales is helpful
Organizational skills as well as the ability to collaborate with others are a must. Will help conceive and design interactive stories for the web
Will experiment with HTML, Flash, and streaming video in the right combination to tell news stories in an interactive environment
Will create websites for CBS News television programs
Will work in close collaboration with the art director and other members of the design team

Fluency in HTML
Knowledge of Flash3 and/or Director is a big plus
Interest in TV and broadcast design
